This Friday (6), Beach Park, one of the country's most desirable tourist destinations, will begin the soft opening of Arvorar, its newest park. During this pre-operation phase, the park will only be open on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays), from 9am to 5pm, and some attractions may be in partial operation or not operating at all. Tickets will be limited and will have promotional prices, from R$189.00 for R$89.00. Children under the age of 1 will get in free. Sales start on Wednesday (4) on the official Arvorar website.
Located in Vila Terra Brasilis, in Aquiraz/CE, just 20 minutes from the Beach Park complex and Fortaleza, the space combines fun and environmental education and will offer an immersive and unique experience for visitors of all ages, reinforcing the commitment to environmental awareness.
"This is an excellent opportunity for the public to get to know Arvorar first-hand and take advantage of the special price. This initial operation is limited and aims to fine-tune the details before full operation. It's a unique experience and a trip not to be missed, especially during the school vacation season," says Leanne Peixoto, the park's manager.
Dedicated to environmental education, research and conservation of Brazilian biodiversity, Arvorar is Beach Park's second park and has 11 attractions, the main ones being the three large immersion aviaries, with a total area of 3,000 m² and around 250 birds, some reptiles and small mammals, on a route monitored by environmental educators.
Upon entering Arvorar, visitors will be immersed in a vibrant and sonorous environment, welcomed by the iconic portal in the shape of Jandaia, Ceará's symbol bird, sculpted by Ceará artist Narcélio Grud. Shortly afterwards, the public comes across the Casa do Passarim, a four-storey tree house where, from the top, in the shape of a bird's nest, it is possible to have a 360-degree panoramic view of the park and its surroundings. Other notable attractions are the Arvorão, a circuit of aerial trails, with challenges and slides, and the Redão, a large hammock made of tensioned ropes, which provides moments of fun and relaxation, close to the treetops, promoting a unique connection with nature. Throughout the park you can also find various works by Marcelo Santiago, also an artist from Ceará, who was responsible for creating fountains inspired by the nature of the place, as well as the entrances to each aviary, which are real bamboo sculptures, and a sound and sensation garden.
In addition, there is an amphitheater where there will be educational presentations led by the park's researchers, a restaurant, a snack bar and a window with a view behind the scenes, allowing visitors to observe the activities of the technical staff, such as the maternity, animal welfare and nutrition areas.
More than just fun, the Arvorar Park goes further and will be dedicated to building bridges between the scientific community and the general public, developing environmental solutions with a positive impact. With a complete infrastructure designed to develop scientific research into species, the park has already started its activities with the Refaunar Arvorar project. The initiative, carried out in partnership with the NGOs Associação Caatinga and Associação de Pesquisa e Preservação de Ecossistemas Aquáticos (Aquasis), aims to repopulate endangered birds native to Ceará, starting with the Jandaia-verdadeira (Aratinga jandaya) and the Cara-Suja Parakeet (Pyrrhura griseipectus).
According to Leanne, Arvorar is yet another demonstration of Beach Park's commitment to the environment and social responsibility. "Arvorar reflects Beach Park's purpose of creating happy moments, combining entertainment with environmental education and species conservation. Our aim is to have a positive impact on society by strictly complying with all the legal requirements relating to handling, hygiene and health measures and animal welfare. The park benefits both nature and people, offering an interactive experience and a fun and engaging educational process," he said.
The park also offers an educational program with guided tours, serving groups and schools through scheduled visits, as well as technical visits for universities and institutions. Those interested should contact escolas@parquearvorar.com.br.
Arvorar was carefully planned over almost four years and has a complete structure and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the care of the animals, such as equipment for blood tests, ultrasound and x-rays. To serve both visitors and animals, the park has a multidisciplinary team of 70 professionals, including veterinarians, biologists, zootechnicians, environmental educators and caretakers.
