The activity marks the end of the Sustainable Day program, which began last Monday (4)
Throughout this week, Beach Park is holding the fourth edition of Jornada Sustentável, a social action movement focused on environmental education. To celebrate the end of the event, this Friday (8), students from public schools in Porto das Dunas, in Aquiraz, will visit Beach Park to learn about the "Mãos à Horta" project. There will be two groups, one at 9:30 and the other at 15:30.
Developed in the Compost Yard of the tourist complex, the project consists of a garden with fruit, vegetables and herbs, used in environmental education activities promoted by Beach Park. In addition, the produce grown is made available free of charge for employees to consume. "This garden enriches our sustainability program and offers fresh food to our employees," says Raíssa Bissol, Sustainability Manager at Beach Park.
Raíssa explains that the students will have the opportunity to learn about organic cultivation, composting, recycling and the importance of healthy and sustainable eating. "The activities promote not only environmental education, but also the strengthening of cooperation and social responsibility among the students," she adds.
The Sustainable Journey began last Monday (4) with an exclusive visit to Arvorar, Beach Park's new park, which will soon be opened to the public in Aquiraz.
On Tuesday (5), the program continued at "Azul do Mar", Beach Park's event space, with a series of lectures and panels on the theme "Rehabilitate, Reflood and Conserve - Actions from the Present to the Future", with national speakers who are references in their fields. These include the president of the Blue Macaw Institute Neiva Guedes, the president of the Fauna Brazil Institute Vanessa Kanaa and the executive director of Refauna Brasil Marcelo Rheingantz.
During the morning panels and lectures, the Arvorar Call for Proposals was launched, which aims to fund projects that focus on wildlife rehabilitation in the state of Ceará.
From November 6 to 8, guests are taking part in a series of activities at the Serra das Almas Nature Reserve, considered the largest Private Natural Heritage Reserve in Ceará, in Crateús. The site was chosen because it is home to one of the stages of the "Refauna Arvorar" project, which aims to repopulate Ceará's native birds that are threatened with extinction. The project is being carried out by Beach Park, through Arvorar, in partnership with the NGOs Associação Caatinga and Associação de Pesquisa e Preservação de Ecossistemas Aquáticos (Aquasis).
For the event, Beach Park has the following brands as supporters
"The Sustainable Journey is an opportunity to inspire real change. Sustainability is possible and accessible to everyone, and together we can build a greener and more prosperous future," emphasizes Raíssa Bissol, Beach Park's Sustainability Manager.
